The
Way of the Shaman
Author: Michael Harner
Michael
Harner is an anthropologist who has studied shamanism extensively and
is hailed as one of the world's leading authorities on shamanism. The
Way of the Shaman provides a practical guide to the art of shamanic
healing and the sacred as represented by many cultures throughout the
world. This book is recommended reading for all newcomers to the Orlando
Shamanic Practitioners Group as an excellent introduction to the world
of shamanism.
Power
Animals: How to Connect with Your Animal Spirit Guide (includes CD)
Author: Steven D. Farmer, PhD
Steven
Farmer guides you through a journey on the included CD to discover and
connect with your power animal. Once you've determined who your power
animal is, you can refer to the text to learn what this says about you,
find instructions on how to call upon the spirit animal, and read a channeled
message for you from that animal spirit. You'll also find out which animal
spirit to call on for specific situations, and additional tracks on the
CD will help you consult your power animals as an oracle.
Medicine
for the Earth: How to Transform Personal and Environmental Toxins
Author:
Sandra Ingerman
Based
on the conviction that "we can reverse environmental pollution through
spiritual methods," Ingerman coaches readers through inward and outward
preparation for performing "transmutation," the channeling of
spiritual energy to create positive physical effects. Her clear, practical
exercises call upon a variety of ancient and current resources, including
shamanism, to recruit assistance from the spiritual realm.
Shamanic
Journeying: A Beginner's Guide (includes CD)
Author: Sandra Ingerman
Shamanic
journeying is the inner art of traveling to the "invisible worlds"
beyond ordinary reality to retrieve information for change in every area
of our lives--from spirituality and health to work and relationships.
With Shamanic Journeying, readers join world-renowned teacher Sandra Ingerman
to learn the core teachings of this ancient practice and apply these skills
to their own journey. CD includes three authentic shamanic drumming sessions.
Shamanic
Journey Solo and Double Drumming
Artist: Michael Harner
This
recording is specifically designed as a tool to aid the practitioner
in solo shamanic journeying. There are 15-minute and 30-minute solo
drumming with callback, as well as 15-minute and 30-minute double drumming
with callback. Excellent for journey experiences in which you don't
have to drum for yourself and can just relax into the experience. This
is a repetitive, no-frills drum beat merely intended to facilitate the
journeying experience.
Drumming
To Journey By

Kay
Cordell Whitaker is an internationally recognized storyteller and educator
who apprenticed for over thirteen years with Chea and Domano Hetaka,
shamans of the easter Andes. This CD contains eight different journey
lengths from 71 minutes to 10 minutes, each ending with the call back
beat.
Shamanic
Journey Rattle
Artist: Michael Harner
This
CD contains a 30-minute rattle with callback and a 15-minute rattle with
callback. For those who would like to experience the rattle versus drumming
during journeywork. Recommended for experienced practitioners.
